Our Arizona feeling of success
In September 2006 we bought an Arizona saddle and we can only report on it favorably.
Our biggest problem with most saddles was that the mare of my mother, Elvira Balzer, rather suffer to be saddled. “Sicheli” has been grown out her western saddle as she has build up muscles. The saddle disabled her in her movement and flexion as well as it has been very uncomfortable. So not only the saddling was a desaster, but also the riding. She went like a “pulled handbrake”. So it was almost impossible to just ride one round. You just could not ignore that our horse does not feel well under the old saddle.
One day I saw an announcement of Barefoot in the magazine “Mein Pferd” and showed this to my mother. Within one week we ordered the Barefoot Arizona saddle.
From first moment, Sichel was more relaxed under her new saddle. With every following ride, she has been relaxing more and more, the problems we had (mentioned above) disappeared within only one month. Unbelievably, but all her problems resulted from the old saddles.
In my opinion, the Barefoot is very well suitable for horses in training which changes a lot in body. I will break in my horse Sina with the Barefoot Arizona. So the problems, we had with Sichel, will not occure at all.
I have looked up in the rules of SWRA and found no ban for treeless saddles. So we’ve planned to start in SWRA competitions in the nearest future.
The Barefoot saddles gave more life quality to us and our horses. We can recommend them without any negative aspect.
