I am currently in training at the training centre in Ingolstadt to be a physiotherapist. The education includes the prevention of dysfunctions along the musculoskeletal system on the one hand, and on the other hand also the upkeeping, improvement and restoration of the natural ways of movements in order to give a person an optimal individual pain free liberty of movement and as much independence as possible.

|
By means of my education so far I have come to the conclusion, that the Barefoot Saddlesystem is not just an asset to most horses, but also for many riders.
Riding on a treed saddle, the rider can often feel the horse’s movements just indefinably. Beginning riders and even those with more experience often complain about being rattled.
This is true for a reason: the impact on the rider’s spine is not positive at all. Increased pressure impact onto the vertebral disks occurs as a rigid saddle inhibits absorbing and moving along to the horse’s back. Reducing these punches is possible.
|
When using the Barefoot
Saddlesystem, horse and rider move in harmony, being easy on the back of
both. This usually happens unconsciously, even with a beginning rider. A
Barefoot Saddle offers those riders with existing back problems the
opportunity to ride painfree again, depending on the medical condition.
| Some riders explain this experience
as „like sitting on a sofa“. On a sofa, one normally relaxes – which is
what happens on a Barefoot Saddle, resulting in less tensing-up along
the muscles of leg, back and entire torso. Tight muscles are usually
always mirrored by the horse which might tense up also, or become
nervous as it doesn’t know if the rider is tensed up because of a danger
near by. Still others lose their joy and thus impulsion under a cramped
rider. |

|
Many people don’t realize how cramped they are and are surprised about their horse’s habits, although they are actually just reflexions of the riders body language.
The elastically adjusting Barefoot Saddle enables the rider to feel the movement of the horse much more distinct and thus adjust and adapt to them.
Best wishes
