Should you grease hooves?
Sound hooves don’t require any conditioner. If you do apply hoof ointments, the self-lubrication of the horn is impeded because the grease is water-repellent. Dry and brittle hooves require humidity – not grease. Therefore we recommend watering the hooves. However, lubricants can be used along the coronet in order to improve the structure in case it is dry and scabby.

Saddle Bag, real leather
These saddle bags are made of high quality, lightly oiled leather. They attach perfectly to all Barefoot saddles and most other saddle brands. The leather is water repellant and very durable. The double bag has 3 snap hooks for quick attachment to the saddle. The single bag is secured with leather strings which can be used to attach more essentials, perfect for boots. We also considered a soft surface area so it doesn’t rub the horse’s coat. These bags can be used separately or both together.
