A compliment for Barefoot
Hello dear Barefoot team and dear Barefoot riders!
Two years ago I got my very beautiful Austrian Warmblood gelding Al-roi, a son of Aletto. Great horse, great condition, but completely ruined! I, being all of 14 years old, was relatively inexperienced, because he was my first horse. I got an old all-purpose saddle along with him, from the previous owner. Unfortunately, back then I had no idea what it can mean if a horse is wearing the wrong saddle. After numerous flying lessons off the horse J, and muscle spasms in his back, everybody recommended I sell him, since he was so ‘mean and difficult’. I, however, had fallen in love with him and would certainly not let him go. Then I decided I was going to be just a hobby rider and didn’t really want to compete in horse shows. I had a horsemanship trainer for about a year and we made great progress, then I tossed the old saddle out. I wanted something new and innovative that would be only good for my darling. I searched everywhere and then arrived at your website. I didn’t think about it too long and bought a Barefoot right away, at the horse fair in Wels. I hope you will be there again this year! By now I also have an Arab-Haflinger mare that I’m starting myself, and I’d like to have a Barefoot again! ;-). I try to be as horse-friendly as possible. The two of them live together in a big open stall with an attached turnout area accessible 24/7, both are ridden in a Barefoot, and I work with them on a basis of Natural horsemanship training.
By the way, you can jump really well in the Barefoot Cheyenne. My Al-roi is a jumper, and jumps over 4/12 feet are not a problem! He used to always kick when I approached with the old saddle! But since May last year, after I had bought the Barefoot Cheyenne, everything is going great. He lifts his back really beautifully! It is a real joy riding with it!
Thanks for this great invention!
